SEED Program Area
Planting seeds of inspiration for elementary learners and Georgia teachers through agricultural STEM curriculum and a state of the art mobile educational classroom, The Georgia Ag Experience.
Program Overview
SEED introduces Georgia’s youngest learners to the world of agriculture through joyful, hands-on exploration. Designed for elementary students and the educators who guide them, this program makes farming, food, and environmental science come alive inside classrooms and communities.
From mobile ag experiences to ready-to-use STEM lessons, SEED opens the door to learning that’s rooted in real life. It helps students build connections — to their land, their food, and the people who grow it — while giving teachers the tools to lead the way.
When we plant the seeds of curiosity early, we grow understanding that lasts a lifetime.

Georgia Ag Experience Mobile Classroom
Bringing agriculture to schools across Georgia
This high-tech mobile classroom turns school grounds into learning labs. Through virtual field trips, simulations, and hands-on exhibits, students explore topics like soil health, animal science, and crop production — all tailored to Georgia’s agricultural landscape.
Georgia Ag Experience
STEM Challenge
Real-world problem solving through ag innovation
Each year, 3rd–5th grade classrooms are invited to tackle agriculture-related STEM challenges — from designing pollinator-friendly spaces to creating water conservation solutions. The Challenge encourages creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork while connecting kids to real-world ag issues.

Annual Ag Book Donation to Libraries
Sharing the joy of agriculture through storytelling
In partnership with Georgia EMC and County Farm Bureaus, we donate an agriculture-themed children’s book to every public library in Georgia each year. These books, selected for their accuracy and heart, help spark curiosity and build ag literacy in communities across the state.
Why It Matters
Agriculture is part of every student’s life — whether they live in a city or on a farm. But without early exposure, many children miss the chance to understand how food is grown, who grows it, and why it matters.
SEED helps close that gap. By inspiring curiosity and confidence, we empower young learners to care about agriculture — and maybe even see it as their future. The result? A generation that values the land, understands science in action, and believes in the power of growing things.
